In Device Manager, do you only have 1 mouse listed?
Try uninstalling Logitech's software, and reboot to see if the mouse
gets detected as a standard PS/2 mouse. Then install Logitech's
software (Mouseware).
After installing the cordless mouse, have you hit both the reset button
under the cordless mouse (first) and then hit the button on the receiver
(second)?
Have you tried using new batteries?
