- Messenger Service, Messenger Spam
- Posted by Ken Doebler on July 9th, 2003
I have tried several firewalls and finally found one that appears to block
the Messenger spam "out of the box". Zone Alarm Pro 4 seems to work well.
I previously had Norton Personal Firewall installed, but it didn't block
Messenger spam. And before that I used Sygate, but it failed to stealth all
my ports. I've been trying Zone Alarm now for a few days and so far no
Messenger stuff is getting thru, so I'm hoping that solved the problem. For
anyone out there who is having problems with this, you might try installing
Zone Alarm. It seems to be doing the trick...
