NORTON ANTI-VIRUS REINSTALL
Posted by Don on August 27th, 2003

Some how I lost my Norton's virus program and I have the
disc to re-install, however it won't. It says it's
installing but all it does is show an hour glass spinning,
likes it is installing, but after several minutes it's
obvious nothing is being done.

Thank you in advance for your help, suggestions, advise.

Check the symantec support area. There is a paper on using the registry
removal tool (probably on your CD-Rom) to completely remove it, then you can
reinstall it.

30+, you have a problem.

As always, shut down an many programs as you can during an install
(especilly any antivirus, firewall or disk monitoring tools).
With the troublesome ones, try safe mode.

A clean boot can help, too. (sometimes)
