- NT built-in backup tool can't handle data over 20 Gb
- Posted by Dara Kok on December 24th, 2003
I use the NT 4.0 Server as file server. and before it was ok because i used a 4 Gb tape but after i changed my tape drive and tape catridge to a 20/40 Gb (20 before compress and 40 after compress). As i use the NT built-in backup tool, it is impossible to backup data over 20 Gb.
So please recommend, how can i backup my data which is over 20 Gb ? or is there any newer version of the built-in backup tool ?
Please help,
Thanks so much,
Dara

I'm not aware of this limitation but if it exists then you can run two
backup jobs, appending the second lot to the first lot.
