- Offline files
- Posted by on March 6th, 2004
All users synchronize their My Computer folder with a
server (ServerA) on the network. Unfortunately ServerA
went down and could not be recovered. I restored the files
to ServerB and set the synchronization up with the new
server. I wanted to switch the file in the offline folder
on each machine to point to the new location, as they may
be newer versions.
Does anyone know how to do this?
I aslo need to stop each machine from trying to sync with
the old server as it give error messages.

Hi,
maybe you can just create an DNS alias with serverA name that point to
serverB?
