- PROFILES - ROAMING AND MANDATORY PROFILES
- Posted by Bartosz Wegrzyn on August 25th, 2003
Hi
I do have roaming profiles set up.
Now I want to change it for mandatory profiles.
Should be easy. All I need is to change a ntuser.dat for
ntuser.man and also I can change the profile directory for
username.man.
My problem is that by default the owner of the profile directory is
the user
itself. So in order to change the ntuser.dat for ntuser.man I would
have to change the permittions of the profile folder. If I do it the
user will not be able to log on with that profile. Error message:
cant access the roaming profile. Why the admin cannot access the
folder by default. Is it normal???
Any thoughts,
Bart

Yes, normal. Admin. can Take Ownership and give self permissions
ensuring the User also has adequate permissions.
