Hi,

I received following mails but none seems to work in my
case:

1) From : dan@workersect.org

It may be that the icon cache is becoming corrupted. Try
using the free-ware ActivIcons -
http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_ai.html - utility to:
1-- increase the icon cache size to at least 2048, and then
2-- rebuild the icon cache.
The option for changing the cache size is on its "Desktop
Controls" screen. The options for rebuilding the cache are
on 2 small round buttons at the lower/right corner. Shut
down any programs running in the background, then click
the round button farthest to the lower/right corner (your
system will reboot, and the icon cache will be cleaned
out).
That should fix it. However, if after this, the icons
still don't look right, then right-click a blank area of
the desktop, go to Properties, then go to the Settings tab
to make sure that you are running in either "High Color"
or "True Color" mode in the Colors field. Also, go to the
Effects tab and make sure that the "Show icons using all
possible colors" option is marked.

2) From : dan@workersect.org

Your picture shows that the icon transparency is being
corrupted. This could be caused by 2 other things...
1- There is a bug in Netmeeting which can cause the icons
to refuse to display all colors:
a- Run Netmeeting
b- Close it normally
c- Reboot the system
d- Go to Control Panel
e- Go back to Display and Settings to make
certain that the "Color" is showing either a "High Color"
or "True Color" mode (anything lower will cause 16-color
icons to be used)
f- Go again to Effects and make certain
that "Show icons using all possible colors" is marked
2- Right-click the desktop background, choose Properties,
go to the Appearance tab. In the "Item" drop-down menu,
locate "Icons" and make sure that the "Size" is set to 32.
