- Running macros in Win2K
- Posted by Jonathan Finney on February 25th, 2004
Is there a program that will allow me to run macros in Win2k?
What I want to do is automate repetitive tasks such as opening frequently
used programs, logging on and opening files, so that I can do this by
double-clicking an icon.
I already have shortcuts in my Start-Up menu that go some of the way towards
this, but it's not very flexible and doesn't allow me to log-on etc.
Anybody know of a program that allows this type of automation without having
to get involved in complex programming?

You could use the Windows Scripting Host. For an example,
see Tip 2531 in the 'NT Reg Hacks' at http://www.jsiinc.com
Here are some other options:

- AutoIt/AutoItX (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/autoit)
