saving windows locations after restart
Posted by clark on November 17th, 2003

reopening/sizing multiple windows explorer windows is
getting tiresome with every reboot, let alone the ones
needed for the weekly security updates...and, if perchance
they are reopened, why is it that the right/left location
is the reversed from what was the previous...anyway, is
there anyway to save the environment, i.e., these and/or
other programs opened, similar to what autoexec.bat used
to allow? every process in the world seems to open
automatically except the applications i actually use...
thanks

For Windows Explorer;
Create and set the Reg_Dword value
"PersistBrowsers"=1
located at
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\Advanced
