Search for Files or Folders does not Find all the files
Posted by Mike Sh. on July 10th, 2003

My Problem: The <Search for Files or Folders> function
does
not Find ALL the files that it should find.

For example: when I search my Hard Drive for all files
named *.DXF my Windows 2000 computer returns incomplete
results. It might only find 10 files when there actually
are 50 or more files on the drive that have a .DXF
extension.

I am not filtering by date or size or using any Advanced
Search Options.

I'll be grateful for any help with this problem.

Thanks Mike

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Folder Options>View Tab> check "Show hidden
files and Folders", and uncheck "Hide Protected Operating System..." Try
searching again.
