- Slow Logon After Screensaver (winlogon.exe)
- Posted by Mike on November 21st, 2003
Hello:
If my password protected screensaver has kicked in (for 5 seconds or 5
hours) it takes about a minute for the desktop to appear after I log in.
I've booted into safe mode and the same problem occurs. I've also stopped
services a few at a time to see if it's a conflict with one of them. I've
narrowed it down to winlogon.exe. If I don't password protect my
screensaver, there is no problem. However, I don't have delays in initial
logon (after reboot or logoff).
Anybody else have this happen?
Thanks,
Mike
