Normally, no. You have to pay a security company to reset the
Administrator password (if indeed the Administrator account is still
called Administrator and the administrator didn't rename that account to
something else, like ProtectedAdmin or some such). Or you could try the
hack tools available by doing a Google search. I found one at
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/. But it can be defeated by
using Syskey
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre...=/technet/secu
rity/news/efs.asp). While the articles make mention that you will lose
any data protected by EFS that they neglect that you should've exported
the EFS security certificate to a floppy stored in a secure location
(because you'll even need it if you have to reinstall Windows 2000/XP to
access those EFS-protected files).
