i am customizing my toolbars for IE and Windows Explorer. here's the
problem. when i go to View---> Toolbars ---> Standard Buttons, Links,
Location Bar, etc.,

they are all mixed up. for instance, if I uncheck "Links" the Location Bar
disappears and vice versus. additionally there is a line with a check beside
it with no label AT ALL!

can i fix this stupid little issue?

no viruses according to my up to date norton defs. windows 2000
ok, now it get even more strange... it's fine in Windows Explorer but if i
click My computer it isn't.
i've checked everywhere i know of for the answer and i come up with zilch

anything else?
