I am currently using Windows 2000, on a regular basis I
am getting an error message on the screen which says:

svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log has been created.

It doesnt appear to be affecting the pc but is very
annoying. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Your machine is probably infected with a virus. Check the many posts in this
newsgroup that have svchost in the Subject line.
