- System tray icon-sp4
- Posted by Tom on August 25th, 2003
I just installed win2k sp4. Now, there is an icon in my
system tray(right side of task bar) for automatic
updates. I don't automatic updates happening because I
work from a modem and they take forever. Also, they screw
up my firewall settings at in-opportune times.
How can I remove this icon? If I right click, it launches
the automatic setup dialog.

In the Control Panel you'll find an icon for Automatic Updates. Uncheck
"Keep my computer up to date."
