How does one "un-install" W2000 from a system if a choice
is to return to an older version of Windows...example w98.
Do you have to completely re-format a hard drive? If so,
what would be the steps to do so?

assuming it's on an NTFS partition
and you want to delete *everything* first

you need to run fdisk and delete the non-dos partition

then start over

if you have trouble with fdisk get the aefdisk utilty

aefdisk /delall will delete everything
