User Cannot Change Password - Access Denied

I have a client who cannot change there password. the account does not have
the option User Cannot change password and every time I try to change it I
get access denied.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Is the machine your user use a member of the domain?

If your an administrator goto start - progs - admin tools -
AD users & computers. Click on the relevant group folder
of wherever your user is then right click on the user and
goto reset password on the drop down menu. That should do
it if your user or yourself can't do it at the Ctrl,alt,
del option.

I know how to reset the password for them but I want to find out why it is
not working so we can fix it for them
