I am experiencing a problem where my system hangs after
varied amounts of use. It does not seem to be specific to
internet activity or really any software activity in
particular. The timing is variable as well. Sometimes
the machine will go for days without any problems. Other
days the system will hang within 10 minutes. When it
hangs, I press ctrl-alt-del, nothing happens, after about
2 minutes, the task manager appears and I can get about 10
sec of operation before it hangs again. Any suggestions
as to corrective action or a course of action for
diagnosis. Thanks. Tony

If your telling me that W2K just hangs a various points
for no reason and you can't get out of the hang I believe
your hard drive might be going. I had a similar problem
and my hhard drive was heading towards a head crash. What
was happening was periodically my machine would freeze.
No reason and no set of circumstances were setting it
off. I replaced the hard drive.
