- W2K SP3 Fails to Recognize Modem
- Posted by TMitchell on July 19th, 2003
My W2K SP3 system has started to fail to recognize my external modem
from time to time on boot up. Might this be a sign of pending serious
problems with my W2K setup, or is it an innocent thing for Windows to
screw up things like this on occasion?

Could be the modem too. I would try another modem.
