Is there a white paper that will explain the process of moving the first
DC to another server. Our current domain controller's hardware is out of
date, and we have a server to replace it.

I have heard and it makes sense, make sure you move your FSMO operations
to the new master DC in your site before demoting your old master DC. Have
you followed through the instructions you gave me? And did it work without
any problems?
