I've been trying to run a program (Dialupass 2.4)that lists the users
id's and pw's for the system's dial-up network accounts. It works
fine on my win98 machine. For win 2000 and I believe xp,
administrator account access is required for this info to be shown.
Well, on my stand-alone machine, I'm running win 2000 pro with sp4
installed, with only two users: administrator and guest; and I only
sign-on as administrator. Dialupass, which works perfectly on my w98
machine, will not show the info on the win 2000 pro machine. Other
win 2000 users tell me the program work fine for them.
This is my quandary. Is it possible that even though using my
administrator account (through which I add and remove program, defrag
the harddisk, and do all the things the owner of a single user machine
would do) there is still a level of administrator access that I don't
have?
