Hi,

I have a problem booting my win2k pro installation.Need help from expert.

It stalls indefinitely. After the black screen that says starting windows
2000, it switches to the windows 2000 logo screen with the blue bar,the
blue bar remains empty and the system stalls indefinitely.

Also I tried to boot from the CD to do a 'fix' or even a reinstall but it
even stalls there, after loading all the setup files it then says Starting
Windows 2000 and stalls.

So it's a problem because I can't identify what the error is to fix it.

I recently installed a new video card, but that has worked up to yesterday,
I tried switching back in my old card but it didn't help.

If someone knows about the boot sequence they might be able to identify
what is happening at the point it stalls. Otherwise please tell me what to
do to troubleshoot it, bearing in mind I can't get to the recovery console
or perform a full re-install even from the boot CD.
