- WinChat running on my LAN.
- Posted by Joe on February 12th, 2004
I am trying to set up WinChat on my LAN as a simple
Instant Messenger between workers. I have started the
necessary services to have WinChat run and set them to
automatic. I do the Run/Winchat and get the box and
choose the correct computer but when I try to dial the
computer it says dialing for about 3 seconds and then
says the other computer did not respond. I am trying to
dial a computer next to me and I see when I do dial, a
winchat box does not pop up on her screen saying I am
tring to reach her and it should. I have it working on
one computer near me intermittenly but that is the only
one and I have tried a lot of computers. Any ideas what
is going wrong???
