Is 3GB of ram too much ram?

Is a 502 too big of an engine? It depends on how you plan to use the car.

For what? You need to specify the context, and the reason for asking.

Running Win2k server with Exch 2000 with 3GB of RAM.
Microsoft advises to take out the 3GB switch in the
boot.ini, but resolution is for Advance server. I'm
running standard.

Seems pretty clear to me. No switch.

Note: Do not add the /3GB switch if you are running Windows 2000 Server,
Microsoft Small Business Server 2000, or Microsoft BackOffice Server
2000. This switch is designed for use only with Windows 2000 Advanced
Server and above. For additional information, click the following
