- Windows 2000 or XP computer to 'lock computer' after a period of idle time

Rather than a screen saver be activated after a specified
period of idle time on a Windows 2000 Professional or
Windows XP Professional computer, I want the computer
to 'lock computer'! Is there a way of doing this? And
if there is can it be applied by Group Policy.
The reason for this is as follows:
1. The customers who require this function work with
highly confidential and senstive information and one of
the initiatives they are pursuing stipulates that
information sent to them is not seen by unauthorised
personnel.
2. I don't want them to have to remember another password.
3. Security, Using domain accounts to unlock computers
would ensure that only the authorised personnel have
access to the information!

Your requirements 1, 2 and 3 are all met by the inbuilt
screen saver. Why not use it?

You could always create a desktop shortcut with
"%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation" in the
target field, if you like. (It is case-sensitive, BTW.)
