For some unknown reason, my computer crashed and wont
reboot. There's a disk error i/o 0001000 or something like
that followed by a blue screen telling me to run checkdisk
when i cant even get anything to start. Of course, i cant
find the windows 2000 pro cd....what can i do to fix this?
why did this happen?

Can you get into safe mode and run scandisk/defrag from there?
If your FS is FAT16 or FAT32, get ahold of an old DOS disk with scandisk and
defrag. Make sure it's DOS 6.2 or better, so you have LFN support.
