- Windows Explorer Recognition Issues
- Posted by Amazon X on January 20th, 2004
I run W2K and have recently reinstalled the OS, trying to
correct operator mishaps. My Windows Explorer,
in "thumbnails" view on picture folders will no longer
recognize certain file extensions. While it will pop up
thumbnails of .jpe, .jpeg and .bmp, other files
like .jpg, .gif, .tiff and .png are still the picture icon
and not being previewed. I was suggested to me that this
is a registry problem. Has anyone seen this before and
does anyone know how to correct it? Thanks!
