wupdater "not responding"

wupdater "not responding": Posted by Ric on January 22nd, 2004; when restarting or shutting down my computer I get a non-
responsive message "wupdater is not responding" . Can
anyone tell me how to fix this?

Wupdater.exe is some kind of spyware. Get Ad-aware from
http://www.lavasoft.de/ and remove it.
