Yeehaw! Solution!

Eureka! It's fixed!

IT WAS ALL MY FAULT! (I know, go figure! )

I had loaded a Cisco VPN client about three weeks ago. Since this problem
only started a couple of days ago, I never thought anything of it. Turns
out, I had INADVERTENTLY checked a VPN configuration box stating "Firewall
always on? yes/no", to YES. The damn thing was preventing access from any
other computer "ALWAYS". (except for the VPN, of course). DAMN!!!! I
unchecked it and all is good now.

Saved myself $2100.00. That's the machine I was going to order if I thought
this was a hardware issue.

What an industry!

Thanks for everyone's help. Appreciate it. the FIRST POST was basically
right with "disable your firewall". Turns out is was a firewall after. But
I didn't realize I had a firewall on the local machine
