- Access problem
- Posted by Mike on March 3rd, 2004
I have a problem with client interaction with the local machine if that are
not part of a specific group that I created for the domain.
I not sure if I configured something in Group Policies or what I did, but if
I remove the user from the group I can not again access to files on the
network. I can authenticate, but access is denied. Once the person is put
back into the group all is well. And yes the use has rights to the folders.
I have personal folders on the network that only the admin and the user have
rights to and they are still rejected.

Hi Mike,
As a test, try granting Everyone Full Control on the Share permissions.
Once this is done do they gain access to the folders when they are placed
into the problematic group?
Are these roaming profiles that they are failing to access?
