- accessing an original ADAM instance or its replica is not equivalent
- Posted by francois reichenbach on January 7th, 2004
Hello,
To check basic LDAP interoperability, we use some well-known tools
(ldapbrowser, GQ,...).
We are able to access to the original ADAM instance ( root
dc=mydom,dc=ch->ou=people).
Accessing the replica shows a merged structure just under the root of our
root
(dc=unifr,dc=ch->dc=unifr[siufsrvxx.mydom.ch:389]->ou=people.
MS tools (LDP, ADSIEdit) hide this extended structure.
It seems obvious that interfaces using python with LDAP library will be need
serious review to be ported to ADAM.
Is there a way to increment the compatibily level?
Any idea?
Thank you for helping.
Best regards.
Francois
