zia says...

if you are happy with your domainstructure I'd recommend a upgrade of the
domain, if you need to restructure you'll have to use ADMT. An upgrade has the
advantage that you keep the SIDs, domainname, don't have to move Servers and
Services between domains, and no need to ReAcl the Ressources.

Here are some links for both ways:

Hello Zia,

I was wondering if you were able to Migrate the AD From 2000 Machine to 2003 machine

I have a same issue, if someone can help me how to move the AD from 2000 server to 2003 server, but I like to keep the 2000 server running for some time.

I have users and their folder are residing in my 2000 machine, I like to move or should I say replicate AD and the folders from 2000 server machine to 2003 machine, without doing any extra work...I have once I moved the folder from 2000 Box to 2003 Box, I have to re-drill the permission......I can take of that...

Please let me know if you have some suggestion
