- AD Problem
- Posted by York on January 13th, 2004
Hi, Thanks for your help
I have tried to use "netdom" to locate the FSMO role
holder. all are machine "ms_nh_01" and I tried to use
nslookup ms_nh_01.abc.com to resolve , it can be resolved
successfully.
There have no special error msg on event viewer.
So i really feel strange about that.

In article <093d01c3d998$09985360$a301280a@phx.gbl>, York says...
sorry for getting back so late. But what is dcdiag on the different DCs saying?
Is the FSMO-Role not available on all DCs, including the one holding the role?
If that's that case I'd try to transfer the role on the DC where it's supposed
to be right now - it might state that the current role holder can not be
transfered, and it must be seized. That's OK so far if it's the same dc.
Gruesse - Sincerely,
