- ADAM : API's available ?

Hi ,
We have to automate as much as we can the ADAM installs to
avoid customer interaction when installing our product.
I am aware that you can do an auto-install of ADAM
[replicated enabled] , but for this to be feasiable one
would have to know the user accounts , server names ,
ports,etc,etc beforehand . [These are going to be
installed on customer sites]
Outside creating our own screens prompting the users for
information [ which is just duplicating the manual install
really without the validation that ADAM install does] are
there a set of API's we can use to ensure that the data
entered is valid [ connection to server with ADAM on it to
get the partition info,etc]
If not then we have to have 2 settings.txt files.
One for the first instance of ADAM which has to be
unique , the second which has to have the join a
configuration set option selected with all other
replication information and a load of screens for them to
enter in the info .....
I think this is called a Catch 22 .
Any API's ????

Sorry, we don't expose any APIs for install. Unattend.txt is the only way to
go. I'll send your request to our PM, hopefully we will be able to add
something useful in SP1. You are not the first to ask for this.

Don't know. Which means it's not soon. I've heard few months after w2k3 sp1
ships.
