HI,

I'm in the process of preparing my Windows 2000 domain for
Windows 2003 DC's. I have Run 'Adprep.exe /forestprep' on
the Schema master and it completed successfully.

I run into problems when I run 'adprep.exe /domainprep' on
the Infrastrucure master. When run it waits for a few
seconds then returns to the command prompt with no output
stating completion or an error! When reading the contents
of the log it appears to just terminate half way through
with no error. Here are the last few lines of the
adprep.log (with the real domain name replaced):


Adprep was about to call the following LDAP API.
ldap_search_s(). The base entry to start the search is
cn=10b3ad2a-6883-4fa7-90fc-
6377cbdc1b26,cn=Operations,cn=DomainUpdates,cn=Sys tem,DC=do
main,DC=domain,DC=domain,DC=domain,DC=domain.

LDAP API ldap_search_s() finished, return code is 0x20

Adprep verified the state of operation cn=10b3ad2a-6883-
4fa7-90fc-
6377cbdc1b26,cn=Operations,cn=DomainUpdates,cn=Sys tem,DC=do
main,DC=domain,DC=domain,DC=domain,DC=domain.

[Status/Consequence]

The operation has not run or is not currently running. It
will be run next.
