- Authoritive Restore of AD Questions
- Posted by Dave Corun on January 13th, 2004
One of my clients is running into an issue where one of the admins disabled
all of the other admin accounts.
We're considering an authoritive restore of the AD from before he did this,
so the correct AD info will propagate.
Will this be possible, even though our accounts are disabled right now? I'm
afraid that we won't even be able to do a restore w/o access to a valid
admin account right now.
Also, is there anything else that I should know before pursuing this path?
Thanks!

Yes that should work for you. All you need to know is the AD Restore mode
password. This was set during dcpromo.
