Greetings,

Recently turned up a Win2k3 server as a DC in my domain.
However, I cannot view any logs on the new DC outside of
the security logs.

Everytime I try to access another log it says:

Unable to complete the operation on "Application". Access
is denied.

I'm logged in as a domain administrator. This doesn't make
sense, but I can't find anything in the KB noting it?

Hi Joshua,

Open the Built-in container within AD Users and Computers and view the
Members tab of the Guests group.

Make sure the Domain Admins and/or Administrator account has not been placed
into this group. Also verify that Domain Users is not their either.

If these accounts are present in the Guests group and you did not place them
there it is possible the environment was compromised by a virus.
