Extending ADAM schema to use Authorization Manager
Posted by Peter Bernhardt on December 6th, 2003

I need to use Authorization Manager with an instance of ADAM. But I first
need
to extend the schema to make this happen. While I start slogging through
building the ldf file, I'm hoping someone has travelled this road already
and may have some experience to share.

Yes someone has....we at Microsoft did it for you! :-)

In the ADAM package itself you'll find there is a file MS-AZMan.LDF (once
you install adam this file will probably be dropped in %systemroot%\adam)
If you open that guy up in notepad there is a sample how-to on how to import
it at the top of the file.
I'd give that a try, as it should have all of the necessary schema
extensions in it.

Hi,
Can I know where u find this adam package? I installed adamsetup.exe file version 6.0.2600.0 but I can't find this AZ-Man.LDF, only Adamuser.LDF is there in the ADAM folder...

The azman schema extension will be dropped in %systemroot%\adam as the file
MS-AZMan.LDF

Judging by the filename, looks like you are using a beta version of ADAM.
Please download the RTM version, it has MS-user.ldf and MS-AZMan.ldf.

Or, like Eric suggested, check in %windir%\adam.
