I have to work in a strange environment. I am the secondary NA to our
organization, and we have a sub-organization that is on our same
network. Their NA has aquired a password analyzer that can pull the
password when you logon to the domain. It's not a brute-force
cracker, becasue they acquired my 13-digit alpha-numeric with special
character password, that doesn't have ANY words in it at all. To
someone that doens't know what it is, it seems like random characters
- this isn't my password, but it is very similar to px-5138972sjr.
They have gotten four of my passwords that are like that.
Anyway, is there someway I can do a secure connection prior to passing
the Active Directory server my password? If not, is there anything I
can do to keep this thing from getting my password? It makes me wish
that I worked at my last company still, this guy would have been fired
so fast that it would have made MY head spin.
The AD servers are 2003, and my machine is XP Pro, if it matters.
