Logon issues and admin permissions

Hi, Sorry for the double post, but after I posted this I
realized that 2003/general discussions was not the right
place for this...

We have one server running 2003, AD, and DHCP with
assignment from a Linksys wireless router. I have
configured the server with a static IP of 196.168.1.11.
I log onto the domain from my PC as administrator with
membership in the following groups:

administrators, domain/builtin, security group-domain
local, unrestricted access to computer/domain

domain admins,domain/user, security group - global,
designated administrators of the domain

I can not access shares of the other computers (I can
when logged in as administrator on the server). I want
to be able to logon to my PC and have full administrator
privileges over the network.

I have tried to create another login, but I get the error
message that:

"the system can not log you in, the domain is not
available"

My question is:

1) Can I log in as the administrator from a remote
system, with the group memberships above, and access the
entire network?

2) Why can I not logon as another user? The account is
already established in the Users container as a member of
domain/users, and I have gone so far as to create a
computer account in the default container=computers.

As far as I can tell I am following acceptable procedures
but getting unacceptable results. Please help! Much
appreciated in advance.

For me the situation looks like you didn't add workstation to the domain.
If you've done with it, try to remove it from domain and join back again.
After succeeded you'll see <domain_name>\Domain Admins and
<domain_name>\Enterprise Admins groups added to local Administrators group
on your workstation. From that moment you might able to get full control
over workstation's resources both locally and over network after succesful
logon using account from Domain Admins or Enterprise Admins groups.

Hope the above will help.
