Mass User Deployment

Question: Is anyone aware of away of creating 1000 or so user accounts to a active directory using particular naming coventions with out having to set each account up individualy under the directory.

For example: user01,user02,user03,user04....user1000 Creates 1000 user accounts based on a rule.

If any of you experts, teachers or students can give us some tricks of the trade of peforming this admin task I'd be really apreciative.

Many Thanks

Steven

In addition to what the others have already given you, take a look at the
ADSI Scriptomatic tool.

ter/tools/admatic.asp

If nothing else, take a look at the help file. It's well worth a read.

The Script Center, specifically the Users and Groups section, is excellent
and should contain everything you need.

If you're not already aware of cacls.exe, take a look. It's useful for
setting permissions of home and/or profile directories.

Oli
