- Minimum Password Length
- Posted by Lee on February 18th, 2004
Hi,
I recently changed the minimum password length for my domain to 6 chars,
originally it was set to 2. A user that has a 5 char password can still
login to the domain with their 5 char password, is this correct ?
New users are told they cannot use a password of less than 6 chars so I know
the policy is working.
Is this by design or is something wrong ?
TIA
LM

This is correct. The policy only impacts users changing their passwords, not
users who currently have passwords.
