Modify default replication wait period in ADAM
Posted by MattW on March 3rd, 2004

Hi

I am trying to find out how to modify the default amount of time an ADAM instance waits to push a directory change to a member of a replica set.

The default time is 15 seconds, how can I change this time interval up or down?

Thanks

Matt

You'll have to use "ADAM_instanceName" in place of "NTDS".

FWIW, we tested the heck out of many values (from 1 second to <insert big
number here> seconds) so I'd encourage you to test this before rolling it
out. The numbers we used were nice in that changes are 'fast' (where fast is
somewhat relative I know) but also doesn't take a big perf hit.

So I have worked with customers who changed this, and they had great reasons
to, but I always like to encourage some testing with this, especially if you
have a large # of changes you make to your directory.
