- New Hardware
- Posted by luchious on March 3rd, 2004
I want to install new servers on existing DC, but I really
dont know if it will affect my current configuration, I
will have to do one at a time. Also what if I want to
change the name of the server.
example: london remove it and install france instead.
this is to replace old servers with new ones.
What is the best approach, any suggestions or articles are
greatly appeciated.
Thanks in Advance

If I understand you correctly (not really sure what you're trying to do),
probably the best bet is to install the new server, promote it to a replica
DC in your current domain, and then demote the old server.
