NT 4 clients on W2K Native Mode domains

Can Windows NT 4.0 & 98 clients authenticate on a Native
Mode Windows 2000 domain?

The Exchange 2003 setup recommends going to native mode
but I still have some NT 4.0 clients who will have to
continue to log in to the domain and do not want the one
way native mode change in Active Directory to cut them off.

I have Windows 95, 98, and NT4 clients in my Native Mode Windows 2000 domain
and they have no trouble authenticating. It is best to have DSClient
installed. However, Group Policy does not apply to these clients.

Absolutely - Native mode has no impact on clients it is only related to the
support for non Windows 2000 Backup Domain Controllers (BDCs)
