Hi,
I have an AD Network with two Windows 2000 servers and
about 30 users. I have purchased an OKIDATA, Network
Enabled, Color Laser Printer but having problems
installing it. I have given the printer an IP address and
installed the driver that came with the printer on my
Second AD Server. It worked for about two or three hours
and we printed to it but after that, it stopped working
and took down with it the printing Services on the server
where no other printers on the network were visible!!
after removing the Printer Program/Application/driver,
everything went back to normal. OKIDTA tech says this
printer which is by the way, a high end one, isn't
compatible with AD! I have hard time beleiving this and
was owndering if someone please help me setup this
printer in other fashons rather by making it local to a
machine and shareing it?
Can I use one of those HP direct boxes (print Server
boxes)? and if yes, how? sonce I have not used on e of
them in the AD environment yet.
Regards,
Mike
