I have a W2k DC running as a primary DNS server. This has been replicated to a W2k server, which I now want to replace with an W2k3 server. Any issues I have to consider? When I later want to replace the W2k server, will it be easier to upgrade to W2k3 on the same hardware or to turn off the server and put in a new W2k3 as a replicated server

if those DCs are in the same Forest you need to upgrade the Active Directory
Schema first.
