- Trust Relationship between two ADAM instances
- Posted by Janet Jackson on March 5th, 2004
Hi
I have two ADAM instances on same mc. Please let me know
how can I configure Trust Relationship between these two
instances so that I can access the users of both the
instances while I point to one instance from a client mc.
I have created correspondig cross ref objects of the two
instances.
Do I require to make some settings in the TrustParent and
TrustRoot attributes of the cross ref objects.
Thanks
JJ

You can not establish a trust between two ADAM instances. What you can do is
to put them into one config set, and have them replicate to each other.
You can establish external cross-refs, which will generate referrals from
one instance to the other. However, crossrefs don't affect binds. However,
if you bind as a Windows user, then you should be able to bind to either
instance.
