Chinese DOS ??
Posted by Tom F on March 31st, 2006

I posted this here because it is the oldest opsys newsgroup (95) and there
seem to be recent posts.

I have need to find the MS Chinese DOS operating system. I have an
industrial machine with an embedded computer designed in the 90's in China,
which i am restoring. It has a floppy and drive and with Caldera Dr-DOS it's
hard drive (40mb) seems to respond to DIR but info is somewaht bogus.

I know there is a MS Chinese DOS, because I have found references to it on
the web, however ftp links are dead.

any help would be appreciated

Tom

You can also try:

http://www.cn-dos.net/msdos71/dos71_1.zip
http://www.cn-dos.net/msdos71/dos71_2.zip

I think that it was commonly referred as DOS 7.1 It's been a little
while since I installed it, I think these zip files will be .img files
and you will need something like winimage to extract the .img file
