Re Messed up still.
Went to print . no go
Perform illegal operation and will be shut down
general protection fault in module HPFDJCO6.drv at 000f:0000e2f2. I have a
HP printer so I wonder if I uninstall it and reinstall if that would correct
it or is somting else.
THANK'S

There should be a name at the beginning of the error message, something like:
'Yadda' caused a general protection fault in module HPFDJC06.drv
What is the 'Yadda'? In other words, what app is named as causing the fault?

The file HPFDJC06.drv (not an O, but a zero) is an HP printer driver file, so
reinstalling the printer driver might help, but it would be helpful to know what I
asked above.....the name of the file or app causing the protection fault.

What program are you trying to print from? Word processor, web browser, mail
client? Does printing cause the error no matter what program you try from?

Hang around as long as you like :-)
That would be MSIMN, not MSIMM....it is the executable file for Outlook Express.
You can try reinstalling the printer driver and software, and see if that helps. If
you still get the error, we may have to dig a little deeper.

I replied also to your earlier posts....did you go back and see them?

Here we go again and I thought every thing was fine until I tried to print.
Bet your tired of me hanging around. I really am a dummy.

T he top of the error box is called MSIMM. and the error message just said
it performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. I then went into
details and the other came up. It comes up in any program and when I am in
Outlook Express it just closes it completely

Do you have the printer CD for installing the printer? It should have come with the
printer when you bought it.

Hooray for your dad. Hope he is in good health. I am in no pain but have a
muscle disease.that atrophy the muscles in my body, (Intrusion Body
Myositis (IBM) very rare. I sometimes fall down as it is mostly in my
leg's. Lucky I haven't broken a bone. Go to the gym 3 times a week to
kinda keep mobile.
What would you recommend to DL. To much for me to figure out. I will try
reinstalling the printer tomorrow as it is about my bedtime and I will check
out the other sights. Try to find something free that does the job.
